DANCERS dressed in ball gowns to rehearse dramatic woodland art in Christ Church Meadow.
The artistic endeavour due for World Environment Day on June 5, heralds the joys of nature and aims to make people stop and think about the world around them.
The organiser is Helen Edwards, 45, who said: “The idea is to use art and movement to create spaces in which people can reflect on their environment.
“We are hoping people will stop and spare a thought and bring their attention to the trees and water in Christ Church Meadow and their relationship with them.”
The arts psychotherapist from Florence Park, South Oxford, said a number of dance groups, including an Oxford Brookes University group, had been in touch to join her.
