IT IS now clear that the major political parties have no sense of urgency, nor the ability to deal with the impending ecological crisis and seem to be able to ignore all graphic illustrations of the sad deterioration of the natural world.
Fisheries, forests, species are disappearing at an alarming rate and the only answer we hear is ‘economic growth’. It is growth that does the damage and it is fuelled by greed.
Only the Greens seem to have the insight and intelligence to face the real issues. A vote for red, blue or yellow just perpetuates a bankrupt system.
