A YOUNG man was taken to hospital last night with head injuries after a hit-and-run in Oxford's Cowley Road.
The man, who is about 20, was hit by a silver VW Polo at about 10.40pm.
The driver then abandoned his vehicle and left the scene on foot, and a witness called the police and ambulance.
The victim was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Headington. The extent of his injuries is not yet known.
Police are investigating the incident.
