THREE post offices are set to close today through a national strike, St Aldate’s, Oxford, Market Square, Witney, and High Street, Banbury, will shut over a dispute between employers and the CWU union.
The one-day strike is in protest at plans to franchise or close 76 out of 373 ‘Crown’ offices by April 2015, including Witney.
Bosses hope to move the Witney post office into a shop.
They said no UK jobs or services will be cut.
