HISTORY fans enjoyed a jousting tournament over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Knights in armour did battle on horseback at Blenheim Palace, in Woodstock, on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Visitors also enjoyed falconry displays and demonstrations of archery.
Gawain Claridge, 37, of Peppard Common, near Henley, came with three-year-old son Max.
He said: “The jousting was really good.
“Max had a go at archery and took a while to get used to it, but didn’t want to leave when it was over.
“It was lovely having the palace and gardens as the backdrop to it.”
