FORMER Conservative cabinet member Jonathan Aitken will address the Oxford Union tomorrow.

Mr Aitken will speak at the historic debating society at 5pm.

In 1999 he was convicted of perjury and perverting the course of justice and was handed an 18-month prison sentence, of which he served seven months.

He admitted lying during a libel case against The Guardian and TV’s World in Action. Following his release from prison he became an author and has taken on roles related to prison reform.
