NEW piglets and mini ostriches were making themselves at home in Millets Farm near Abingdon this week.
The South African Rhea birds called Gavin, Beyonce and J-Lo have been investigating their new home at the Frilford Farm.
Malcolm Skinner, who looks after the birds and piglets, said: “They are named that because apparently those are the celebrities who have Rhea birds. “I guess it’s because they are expensive and interesting. They aren’t as scary as I first thought they might be, they are really friendly.
“The piglets are absolutely lovely – have been taking a bit longer than the birds to settle in and were off their food but they are getting there now. People absolutely love them.”
The three piglets don’t have names yet.
Mr Skinner is appealing for the Oxfordshire public for their suggestions. Contact details for the farm can be found at milletsfarmcentre.com
