THE launch of a new cookbook in aid of an East Oxford hospice is to be sprinkled with stardust.
Tomorrow (Saturday April 13) fundraisers will gather in Oxford to unveil We Love Food!, a cookery book packed with recipes created by the families connected to Helen and Douglas House.
The recipes all have a family theme and encourage families to sit together to eat meals.
All proceeds from We Love Food! – the brainchild of Oxford consultants Oxera – will go to the hospice.
An auction on the night will feature prizes donated for the event by celebrities to boost the book’s appeal.
Actor Hugh Laurie, chef Raymond Blanc and singer Donny Osmond have given gifts.
Star of TV show Bargain Hunt and Oxford resident Thomas Plant will put the prizes under his hammer to raise as much as possible for the hospice.
The recipe book launch, auction and raffle draw is at North Oxford Golf Club in Banbury Road from 5.30pm to 8.00pm. All welcome.
