A THEATRE group is asking people to give them their old pyjamas.

AmEgos, based in Childrey, near Wantage, will stage The Pajama Game from May 2 to 4, but need a little help dressing their set and cast.

Because the musical is based in a pyjama factory, organisers need as many pairs as possible for scenery and its actors.

The theatre group has teamed up with charity Hope and Aid Direct, which will pass the pyjamas to a home for adults with learning difficulties in Kosovo after the run ends.

Director Lesley Phillips, said: “We need as many as we can get. “Pyjamas will be dressing the set so we needs sacks and sacks of pyjamas.

“We have started collecting among the cast members and we are launching an appeal through social media, Facebook and Twitter.”

Pyjamas can be dropped off at the Umami Delicatessen in Newbury Street, Wantage, or Hare in the Woods Deli, Faringdon.

The show will be staged at King Alfred Academy Theatre, Portway, Wantage.
