WHY is Didcot losing its power station when there is no replacement?

Are other countries relinquishing their main power provision sources, just because they are getting older but are still providing an essential service?

There appears to be no clear reasoning behind this and it puts Britain in a weak position.

We have an increasing population who depend on cheap, reliable power to sustain a healthy lifestyle.

Is it a deliberate ploy to give the gas suppliers and their shareholders more profit?

When the prices rise too much the Government will easily be able to build many nuclear power stations without opposition.

Instead we should be designing better solutions to harness water flow and tidal power and store the energy contained within it.

We are an island with plenty of rainfall! Why not design home exercise equipment so people could provide their own muscle energy to power their own home – it would help solve the obesity problem.

It is madness to lose Didcot without clear alternatives in its place.

We need to know who made these decisions without the public’s knowledge or views taken into consideration.
