About 2,500 homes in Oxford were left without water this morning after a water pipe was damaged.
Homes in the OX3 postcode area, which includes Headington and Marston, were affected. Thames Water spokesman Simon Evans said a 12-inch water pipe has been damaged.
He added: “We are re-routing supplies into the affected area so water supplies should return to normal in the next couple of hours.
“The damage to the pipe has disrupted supplies in the area for about 2,500 homes and we have received about 100 calls from members of the public.”
