HERE we go again, the great debate with Ian Cummings continues, regards my calling William Hague “a moron” (ViewPoints, December 18).

Yes Ian, I agree Saddam Hussein had moronic tendencies but when the gassing of the Kurds happened, it was blamed on Iran. That’s because Saddam was the West’s friend (not mine).

My politics have always put me against any moronic behaviour, be it Saddam, Gaddafi, Pinochet or anyone else. You won’t find any evidence of me supporting these tyrants or indeed trading with them, as the West did, until they went past their sell-by date.

Obama is admittedly a big improvement on Romney. He rightly sheds tears for murdered US schoolkids but thinks nothing of Afghan, Pakistani or Palestinians kids murdered.

Hasn’t Obama escalated the war in Afghanistan and Pakistan? How many kids have been killed by drones? Were those kids terrorists?

You may well admire Hague but are you saying he’s all fine because he wrote a book, to “wide acclaim”? Plenty of tyrants through history have written books with some acclaim, it doesn’t make them lovely cuddly human beings.

As for Obama and Hague having a greater understanding of Syria, I’m just against another illegal, immoral war where our servicemen will shed their blood. We’re already speaking to the Taliban in Afghanistan and most accept Iraq was a monumental disaster.

I wonder if you, Ian, supported those conflicts? Please Google General Wesley Clark and “take out seven countries”. The plan back in 2001 to take out Syria among others. There is another agenda and that is why I dislike these morons. The dictionary definition “lacking good judgment” is spot on.
