MUSIC fans helped raise £850 at a charity concert in memory of a 32-year-old Oxford man who died from a brain tumour.
Alice McKay Hill organised Saturday’s show at the Jericho Tavern in Walton Street – featuring blues rock act James Salvoni – in memory of her husband Andreas Papadopoulos.
The North Oxford software engineer died in March 2010, five months after diagnosis.
She said: “I am really committed to raising funds for this particular charity.
“It is emotional for me now.”
Mr Salvoni said: “I grew up with the family so we are quite close. I really enjoyed it. It felt right spiritually.”
