Sir, Why do we need the proposed Westgate development and more shops?
Oxford has a population of only about 100,000 plus about another 40,000 students. We also have plenty of shops. More shops means more people coming into the centre of Oxford and more traffic.
The development may be a monument to the council's planning officer but will only gave a negative impact on the citizens of Oxford.
