A MEAT thief who helped himself to more than £100 worth of food is on Thames Valley Police’s Christmas wishlist this year.

The face behind Badvent number six is a man captured on CCTV cameras who police want to speak to about shoplifting in Woodstock.

In the run-up to Christmas, the Oxford Mail is featuring a different criminal suspect wanted by Oxfordshire police each day.

And behind door number six is this man who was seen going into the Co-op store in High Street on three occasions between April and May this year.

In that time, a thief went into the shop on three different Wednesdays between 5pm and 7pm, and filled his satchel with meat products from the shelves.

He then left the store without paying. The food stolen on each occasion was worth about £80, £60, and £35 respectively.

Wendy Walker, from Thames Valley Police central intelligence, said: “Earlier this year, a man continually walked into the shop in Woodstock and walked out with food, making no efforts to pay.

“It was at a time when a lot of people would have been in the shop.

“The man probably thinks he’s got away with it by now but it would be an excellent end to the year to prove him wrong.”

Police described the man in this picture as white, aged about 25, and about 5ft 10in.

He is said to be of a skinny build, with short cropped hair and heavy stubble.

Police also said he had lots of pock marks on his face and a large tattoo on his right forearm.

Anyone with information about the man in the CCTV images should contact Pc James Jackson on the police enquiry number 101.
