A WOMAN was rescued from a smoke-filled house in Blackbird Leys, Oxford.
Firefighters were called to Bury Road at 10.30pm on Wednesday and rescued the woman while firefighters outside cared for a neighbour who had gone in to try to help the woman.
Both people were treated by the ambulance service for the effects of smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire was unattended cooking.
