FAMILY activities at an Oxford museum took an oriental twist as part of a one-off workshop.
The Ashmolean’s education centre hosted Japanese-themed family activities.
Japanese native Akane Hetherton, with her daughter Emma Airi, two, and her husband Michael, from Oxford, went along.
Mrs Hetherton said: “It was very interesting.”
Mr Hetherton said the family had been attracted to the event on Thursday after reading about it on the museum’s website.
He said: “We saw it and we went along and we had a really good time.
“It was particularly interesting because my wife is Japanese and our daughter was born in Japan.”
Activities involved trying on kimonos and crafts.
