Concerns are already being voiced at plans to build 300 homes on land earmarked for use in a failed link road scheme at Witney.
The town has boomed in recent years with no major increase in road infrastructure and no real prospect of any more in the medium-term.
Consultation on the proposal, which is part of the local plan, starts soon and people must speak up.
