CLASSIC cars and vintage vans brought crowds flocking to Kidlington Airport over the weekend.

The annual Oxford Bus and Classic Vehicle Rally took place on Sunday.

Among the exhibitors was the Oxford Bus Museum, based in nearby Long Hanborough.

Bus conductor Derek Bloomfield was showcasing a 1967 AEC Renown bus.

He said: “We had lots of people, it was a successful day. Considering the weather wasn’t brilliant, we had a really good turnout.”

Other attractions included wartime vehicles and equipment, along with vintage motorbikes and cars.

Brian Tegg, 72, of Bicester, was there with other members of the North Oxfordshire and Cotswold Military Vehicles Trust.

He said: “It went very well. I’ve been going to the rally for a few years now and it was better attended this year and there were more buses running.”
