It always pays to expect the unexpected where Britain’s Got Talent is concerned, but if there’s one thing we weren’t prepared for it was the sight of Simon Cowell crying.
The notoriously hard to please judge had to wipe away a manly tear after hearing a version of Father And Son in the live semi-final as performed by the Neales – that’s the Neale family, not a bunch of guys called Neale.
Nobody could quite believe their eyes.
Perhaps fatherhood has mellowed him.
Although there were some cynics…
Whatever, everybody was agreed – the ability to make Mr Nasty cry is a very good sign.
Well, almost everybody agreed.
