The ultimate community festival returns tomorrow in the cheery, family-friendly setting of Florence Park, east Oxford.

Florence Park Festival – better known as FloFest, returns for its seventh edition, with more family-friendly daytime fun with theatre, music, food, sport and talks, followed by Glowfest – an evening session of live music, DJ sets and illuminations.

FlowFest features a range of activities for families and children of all ages, with free archery taster sessions and a print workshop from Fusion Arts.

Pegasus Theatre offer drama and dance taster classes along with a puppet making workshop and a silly dress up photo booth fun – with bubbles.

The Main Stage at FloFest feature a luscious local lineup of the best Oxford acts headed by the Brickwork Lizards.

Through the afternoon The Owl Light Trio will delight with hypnotic European folk melodies, and Florence Park’s young heroes Collision Theory will keep things moving and grooving.

Opening acts also include Less Than 6ft and soulstress, Jen Berkova with local groovers Valentino providing some serious toe tapping energy to the lunch time phase. Local legend Count Skylarkin will be providing DJ sets during the live music interludes at FloFest.

A Variety Stage will host an array of singers, dancers, poets, comedians and other acts all sourced from the local community.

Natty Mark and the Destination Sound System will play reggae and dancehall through the afternoon.

FloFest’s very own dog show returns to assess canine cuteness across categories such as ‘waggliest tail’ and ‘cutest puppy’.

Largely local food comes from Los Churros, OMG Burgers, Taste Tibet and Polentista Italian. Returning are Waste2Taste who source perfectly usable ingredients that would otherwise be discarded.

There are fairground and inflatable attractions along with a go-kart track and the Flying Trapeze School will be offering classes and running special shows.

GloFest, the ticketed evening show is returning after 2018’s hugely successful inaugural edition and features Ska-Doo-Da-Ba with horn section-led old skool ska classics, The Shapes, ska from Hope and Glory and Little Brother Eli.

Also up are James Ussher with a laser and light show along with a 90s house retrospective soundtrack.
