Eating and fashion have never been comfortable bed partners but as Oxford Fashion Week is making huge efforts to embrace diversity and applaud women of all shapes and sizes, where to wine and dine before and after the shows is almost as important as what you wear… So here is our indispensable, in-depth guide on just where to hang out during OFW (and what to drink too!) * Camera in Oxford is the perfect place for fashionistas to sit back and enjoy the OFW closing party.

Because not only will the people-watching be fantastic, but Camera’s luxurious décor, dance floor and fusion style menu, combined with its mouth-watering cocktails make it the perfect post Couture Show destination.

You can eat Japanese, Chinese and Thai food served in a mezze style in the bar area or sit down in the restaurant, all the while watching everyone who’s anyone getting on down on the dance floor. Perfect.

28-31 St Ebbes Street, Oxford. 01865 245551 cameraoxford.co.uk * It’s not a coincidence that the ultra sexy and decadent OFW Lingerie Show is being held at the Malmaison hotel for the third year in a row, because it’s the perfect venue.

Not only does the ex-prison give the event a frisson of excitement, but its décor is sultry and sexy to match.

Take the Visitors’ Room – now a champagne bar complete with black snooker tables and leather walls, which is where the catwalk show will be staged. But fancy a drink or dinner and the restaurant and bar is as inviting.

Because while the food is locally sourced and as environmentally friendly as possible, the standards are sky high and the same modern taste is as evident in the brasserie and its menu as the cocktail list.

Malmaison Oxford, Oxford Castle, 3 New Road, Oxford. 01865 268400 * In the heart of Oxford’s clubland, The Bridge nightclub and bar is hosting OFW’s opening party. So get out your disco trousers and head on down to see and be seen.

The Bridge, 6-9 Hythe Bridge Street, Oxford. 01865 242526 bridgeoxford.co.uk/ l The Living Room is a well-known, sophisticated Oxford watering hole complete with bar, restaurant, grand piano and roof terrace as well as a fabulous private party room.

From cocktail classes to night’s out, this is definitely one of the places to be seen and is not only hosting the Ethical Catwalk Show during OFW, but would be perfect for a swift drink too. Cocktail of the month anyone?

Living Room, Oxford Castle, Oxford 01865 260210 thelivingroom.co.uk * Café Coco Royal hosted the official OFW launch party last month and it sold out immediately.

Champagne flowed all night for more than 200 guests who flocked in to sample the hot ‘cock-teas’ and delicious cupcakes.

But then Coco’s is the perfect venue to visit during OFW, because as well as hosting monthly Burlesque nights where fashionwise, the more risqué the better, its large open-plan restaurant complete with columns and a central bar serves a fabulous range of Mediterranean food and a cocktails board to make your eyes water.

Its sister restaurants Café Tarifa, Café Coco and the Kazbar on Cowley Road would also make great hang-outs pre and post the Concept Show at The Regal.
