* With food festival fever well under way, the Millets Farm Food & Drink Fayre is joining the ranks at the Frilford Farm Centre on Saturday and Sunday from 10am until 4.30pm.

Stall-holders include Stainswick Oil, Cottage Delights, Tutts Clump Cider, Cocoa antics, Chillies2U, Oxford Honey, Wychwood Brewery, Love Wine – Woodstock (local wines), Yokel Yogurt, Beverage Boutique, Fosters Fine Foods, Liquorice heaven, Just Biscuits, Sara O Macaroons and Cotswold Curer.

* Wilderness Festival has announced a new food and drink concept for 2015. The Dining Room is a collection of hand-picked restaurants from the London scene.

The line-up boasts Raw Duck, Duck & Waffle, Patty & Bun, London House, Maze Sushi and Quality Chop House. Festival-goers are invited to sit back and relax over breakfast, lunch or dinner, at communal tables while sipping cocktails from the bar at the festival taking place on August 6-9.

Feast on exquisite sushi from Gohei Kishi, sushi chef of Maze Sushi, enjoy one of Raw Duck’s vibrant drinking vinegars, tuck into Duck & Waffle’s signature dish of crispy duck leg confit, fried hen’s egg and mustard maple syrup, rejoice in a top burger at the Patty & Bun truck or taste the elegant cooking of London House’s Anna Haugh all in the same dining hall at Cornbury Park.

* Nyetimber’s sparkling wines are coming to Wild Thyme Restaurant with Rooms in Chipping Norton tonight for an evening of delicious food and wine tasting.

Nyetimber produces fine English sparkling wine made solely from Champagne grapes and has expertly matched these world class wines with dishes from the summer menu. Neil Irvine from Nyetimber will be talking about England’s answer to Champagne, its success and how the wines match each course.

Tickets cost £60 per head and include a three–course meal and four glasses of different wines.
