The Duke of Marlborough's backyard forms the scenic backdrop for a series of gigs, kicking off next Friday.

The Summer Nights Concert Series, in the swanky surroundings of Blenheim Palace, feature some of the biggest mainstream acts around starting next Friday with Westlife. Sunday features a performance by Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra. But the highlight for many, will be Saturday's show by James Blunt.

What can be said about Blunt that hasn't already been uttered? You either love his wistful, softly sung melodies, or you don't. Two million copies of his seven-times platinum debut album Back To Bedlam have been bought making it the best-selling album of 2005 (and one of the biggest of this year, too).

The well-spoken former British Army officer has a huge fanbase many of who will be heading to Woodstock for next weekend's gig.
