They have had an exciting year... and things just keep getting better.

Oxford's most dynamic band Foals continue their march towards world domination with a set at probably Britain's nicest festival - Latitude.

Yannis and the lads join a stellar line up of acts for the East Anglian spectacular, which takes place at Henham Park, Southwold, Suffolk, from July 17-20.

Foals are only the latest addition to the line-up for this luscious al-fresco gathering, which also features the likes of Elbow, British Sea power, Blondie and Crystal Castles.

Scottish art-rockers Franz Ferdinand play their only English festival show exclusively at Latitude on the Friday night, with majestic Icelandic post-rock outfit Sigur Ros heading Saturday's line-up and New York titans Interpol closing the show on Sunday.

Boasting four Music Arenas, The Obelisk, The Uncut, The Sunrise and The Lake Stage, the festival spans a wide range of genres and music hand-picked especially for the festival. Organisers assure us bands and artists are chosen "with the essence of Latitude in mind" - with more established bands playing in harmony alongside fresh new acts.

So we get special performances from Africa's remarkable Amadou and Mariam and performances from Death Cab for Cutie, alt rockers The Breeders, and grime, hip-hop and electro pop queen, M.I.A.

Foals' Latitude appearance follows a storming Other Stage set at Glastonbury, and sold-out shows across the world - including Japan, where one Oxford Mail spy saw them in action in Osaka - reporting that they "absolutely stormed the place".

Expect all the gems from album Antidotes including Cassius and French Open, as well as underground blockbuster Hummer.

A spokesman said: "With the very best of exciting and inspirational artists, bands and performers flocking to the sunrise coast for this year's Latitude Festival and with so many more to be announced across all the arenas, this year's event is promising to be yet another truly spectacular event.

"Latitude offers the very best in up-and-coming bands, giving the festival go-er the opportunity to see tomorrow's star's up close and personal. Set deep set into the beautiful woodland, we will once again be showcasing the very best in emerging talent."

Latitude takes place at Henham Park, Suffolk, from July 17-20.
