The Mote * The Mote is a wonderful, and attractively presented period country house. Historically a farmhouse, the oldest part of the property is understood to date back to the 15th Century. The property was latterly extended at some point post 15th Century, and subsequently added to again during the 20th Century.

A good-sized utility room and boot room accessed off the rear kitchen lobby, provides further storage and space for appliances; the Miele washing machine, tumble dryer and Panasonic American-style fridge-freezer are included within the sale.

* An array of exposed beams and timbers, along with the inglenook fireplace, which was uncovered during refurbishment works by the current owner, grace the formal dining room which is part of the original building dating back to the 15th Century. Remains of an old stone staircase were also uncovered and are a wonderful additional feature to this stunning and historic room. (Please note: there is restricted head height in this room)

The Mote Ctd. * There is a very spacious and light sitting room with open fire and a further, comfortable snug, which is a very flexible space and could be used for a variety of purposes, such as a study, children's play/TV room, library, etc.

* The galleried landing leads around and through to the spacious main bedrooms and second family bathroom, which also has a separate bath and shower, and a further, large double bedroom with built-in storage/wardrobes. A second staircase leads off this wing of the property back down to the dining room.
