Talks, Meetings & Business Events

Blackwell's are delighted to be joined by Brian D Earp and Julian Savulescu to talk about their latest book, Love is the Drug: The Chemical Future of Our Relationships.

What if there were a pill for love, or a prescription to mend a broken heart? This controversial and timely book argues that recent advances have brought chemical control of our feelings well within our grasp. Substances affecting our love lives, whether prescribed by doctors or even illicitly administered, are not some far-off speculation–our most intimate connections are already influenced by the pills we take, such as antidepressants.

Tickets for this event are free, but please register if you are planning to attend. Please be aware that this event will be taking place in the Philosophy Department which is accessible by a small flight of stairs.
