The Poet as a Soldier and Veteran: What does it mean to be a soldier?
Is the soldier a hero or a villain? We can often see members of our armed forces as champions, fighting to serve our country – or as villains who kill innocent people to advance government policies.

This evening of poetry will challenge these stereotypes. We’ll hear poems written by UK and US military veterans, and we’ll understand more about what it means to be a soldier.
