AN Oxford school has been ranked among the top 20 in the country in the Sunday Times' latest guide.

The Parent Power table has ranked schools on their average performance using A-Level, GCSE and International Baccalaureate results from summer 2022.

Magdalen College School came 18th in the 'top independent secondary schools' list, scoring 87.3 per cent for students getting A or A at A-level and 93 per cent for A* or A at GCSE.

St Helen and St Katharine in Abingdon comes 42nd on the same list, and Oxford High School in North Oxford is 44th.

Headington School takes 85th place.

No state secondary schools in the county appeared in the list of top state secondary schools.

Great Tew Primary School near Chipping Norton took 32nd place on the list of 'top 50 small state primary schools', with Fringford Church of England School, near Bicester coming it at 41st.

Chadlington Church of England Primary School, in Chadlington, near Chipping Norton, came 50th.
