An Oxford business is offering a taste of the high life to those who can't wait for the next James Bond film — sophisticated cocktails, served by an expert.

Oxford Brookes University graduate Tom Abrams runs Shaken and Stirred, offering mobile cocktail bars for parties and product launches.

To add extra spice, the company is now offering James Bond lookalike Chris Cox, who will don a tuxedo and a Walther PPK pistol to become the suave British super spy for the evening.

If you have the money, 007 can even arrive in an Aston Martin to serve your cocktails.

Mr Abrams, a hospitality management graduate, said: "I started as a chef, then by my mid-20s I was running bars. I wanted to do something for myself, so I set up Shaken and Stirred."

He started working from home in East Oxford in 2007, but after a few years he expanded into a warehouse in Cowley, where he stores 3,000 glasses, with an industrial glass washing machine, ice-maker and flat-pack cocktail bars.

At first, business grew by word of mouth, with launches for drinks companies and perfume company Jo Malone.

"It went a bit quiet in 2009 but the last two years we have been growing again. I think businesses are looking for an alternative to expensive places like hotels. We can do it at their place, or in a marquee on the lawn and our overheads are low."

Now Steve Guest, a fellow student at Oxford Brookes 14 years ago, has joined the company to promote it via social networking sites, winning it two awards on Twitter.

The James Bond idea came from Mr Abrams, who said: "Chris was working for us as a manager, and I noticed the likeness between him and Daniel Craig, so I thought: why not?"
