House prices in the county have risen for the third month in a row.

Latest figures for April from the Government’s Land Registry show the average price of an Oxfordshire property now stands at £238,740, a 0.9 per cent rise on the previous month.

The jump has caused annual rate of house price inflation between March and April to double to 1.2 per cent.

Nationally, the average figure now stands at £163,083 — a rise of 0.8 per cent on the month, although the annual rate of inflation is still down by 1.3 per cent.
