TOURISM businesses have the chance to boost their activities thanks to a funding programme aimed at supporting rural communities.
The Southern Oxfordshire Leader programme has funding available to support a wide range of projects, and a number of organisations have already successfully applied for grants.
In 2009, the Southern Oxfordshire Leader programme, a joint initiative involving South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils, was awarded £1.89m of European funding to support rural projects, including tourism businesses, up to 2013.
