House prices in Oxfordshire are falling at their fastest rate for almost two years.
Latest figures from the Government’s Land Registry show the average price of a property in the county in January was £236,148, a drop of 0.9 per cent on the previous month’s figure.
It was the third successive month that prices have fallen but the rate of decline is now at its steepest since March 2009.
Prices are still higher than they were this time last year but the annual rate of increase has now slowed to 2.1 per cent.
