Business coach, author and motivational speaker Sue Stockdale has sold her company.

Mission Possible based in Faringdon has been bought for an undisclosed sum by business development firm YTKO which runs the Enterprising Women network.

Ms Stockdale said: “It was always my intention to sell at some stage. It is going to a bigger organisation which did not have coverage in the area.

“We have been passionate about supporting entrepreneurial women for the last 12 years, and I feel confident that Enterprising Women will not only continue to deliver fantastic events and training, but will expand the range of services available in Oxfordshire and the South West so that even more women can fulfil their potential in business.”

Three asscociate staff who helped co-ordinate events for Mission Possible have also transferred to the new company and Ms Stockdale will no longer be involved.

Ms Stockdale, 43, was the first woman to walk to the Magnetic North Pole and has been on expeditions to Antarctica and Greenland, as well as representing Scotland in 3000m and cross-country events. She also wrote the book Secrets of Successful Women Entrepreneurs.

Now she intends to concentrate on her own speaking and coaching appointments as well as looking for a fresh challenge.

She added: “I am looking for another opportunity — it is time to do something new.”

YTKO chief executive Bev Hurley said: “I’ve admired Sue’s work for many years, and I’m delighted that we can build on what she has achieved in Oxfordshire and the South West.”
