Twelve jobs have been lost with the closure of the two Oxfordshire branches of Allied Carpets after the company went into administration.
The stores at Seacourt Tower, Botley and the Banbury Cross Retail Park, Banbury, have shut after administrators BDO Stoy Hayward failed to find a buyer for them.
They are among 142 branches to be closed nationally with the loss of more than 850 jobs.
BDO said all orders placed with the firm which went into administration last month would be completed eventually.
Dermot Power, BDO Stoy Hayward business restructuring partner, said: "Although we have had a strong level of initial interest in the portfolio, the common concern has been around the lack of visibility of future turnover.
"In addition, many of those who operate in the same industry haven't been comfortable taking the step to extend their current portfolio in such a tough trading climate."
A further 20 outlets remain up for sale, none of which are in the county, while a further 55 have been sold to a new firm set up by former Allied chief executive Clive Hutchings.
Customers who have any questions about purchases should email the Administrators on alliedcarpets@bdo.co.uk or call 0161 817 7585.
