SCHOOLS computer company RM has won a £12m contract to provide ICT services to the London Borough of Hackney’s BSF (Building Schools for the Future) programme. The deal covers six secondary schools and four special educational needs schools, and will be delivered over three phases. RM will take responsibility for the design, implementation and day-to-day management of the ICT infrastructure.
The service includes a central data centre, the Kaleidos learning platform, cashless catering and access control, as well as hardware and Internet connectivity. RM will also provide consultancy in the form of a learning outcomes co-ordinator, who will work with educators in Hackney to help them use the technology.
