OXFORD entrepreneur Joy Foster was invited to Number10 Downing Street last week.

Ms Foster was asked about Tech Pixies, a scheme she founded to teach women digital skills and help them back into work.

The mum-of-two was encouraged to ‘keep up the good work’.

She said: “It was very productive discussion and I’ll hopefully be involved in many more.

“I took the opportunity to highlight what we think is working in our strategy, face to face learning and coaching and the top three struggles that women in our programme have faced when returning to work.”

Ms Foster is shortlisted in the Rising Star category for the Women in Business Awards.
