PRINCE Charles has asked the Said Business School in Oxford to find ways of encouraging businesses to adapt 'greener' practices, for example with a league table of firms' carbon emissions.
Prof Anthony Hopwood, of the Sad Business School, who has been appointed to the steering group, said: "There are a range of possibilities and we have been brought in to engage in the debate.
"We will be exploring every angle of the subject rather than just one element which would be produced by a consultant working on a specific piece of research.
"Clearly it is going to be an emerging issue and we are handling it in an inter-disciplinary way."
Prince Charles initially spoke on the subject last year at the 125th anniversary of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).
The Sad Business School team includes Prof Steve Rayner, Dr Niels Dechow, Dr Paolo Quattrone, Dr Tomo Suzuki and Dr James Tansey.
