A 35-year-old has today been arrested by detectives from the Operation Bullfinch team.
Tilal Ahmed Mahdi surrendered at St Aldate's police station where he was arrested on suspicion of child sex crimes following an appeal for information about his location in the Oxford Mail.
He was arrested as part of Operation Bullfinch - an investigation in to a child sex ring in Oxford - and is currently in police custody.
Police said the 35-year-old was arrested on suspicion of arranging or facilitating the prostitution or involvement in pornography of a child aged 13 to 17, and intentionally arranging or facilitating the travel of a person in the UK/another country with view to their sexual exploitation.
Mustafa Ahmed, 26, also featured in the same appeal in the Oxford Mail. He is still wanted over a sexual assault on a drunk 17-year-old girl in December 2011. Also known as Mohammood Ebelaim, he has connections with Oxford and London.
