Notice effective from

PUBLIC CONSULTATION

PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF OSNEY POWER STATION

Date / Time: Friday 15 June 2018 4pm to 7pm

Saturday 16 June 2018 10am to 12pm

Venue: Room 2, Thatcher Business Education Centre, Oxford

We would like to invite you to our third public consultation session to review our proposals to redevelop Osney Power Station into a world-leading centre for Executive Education.

Following our previous public consultations on 2, 3 and 21 March, the Project team has carefully considered the feedback and made a number of changes to the scheme in response.

The team are also engaged in ongoing pre-application discussions with officers at Oxford City Council and have presented their proposals to the Oxford Design Review Panel. The Panel was set up by Oxford City Council in partnership with the Design Council and provides an independent and impartial evaluation by a panel of built environment experts, to help create better buildings, streets and public spaces in the city. Again, the scheme has been updated to reflect the professional feedback we have received.

The building, in Arthur Street, is considered a Local Heritage Asset for its architectural interest with clear links to Oxford's industrial past. Our aspiration is to bring this building back into active use through its conversion to an Executive Education centre for Said Business School. This would provide short stay residential programmes for company executives just a short walk from Oxford Station and the main business school in Park End Street. By bringing this important and historic building back into active use, we consider that we will be securing its long-term future for the benefit of the city.

Members of Said Business School, the University and the design team will be available during the consultation to answer any queries you may have.

We welcome feedback on the proposals prior to the submission of a detailed planning application to Oxford City Council, anticipated in September 2018. A hardcopy feedback form will be available at the consultation sessions, and an online version will follow on the University of Oxford's website together with an electronic version of the display information.

If you have any queries regarding the event please do not hesitate to contact the University at the following email address: public.consultation@admin.ox.ac.uk.

We look forward to seeing you.
