OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(OXFORD CITY-VARIOUS STREETS) (PROHIBITION OFVEHICLES) (FILMING - SPECIAL EVENT) ORDER 2018
NOTICE is hereby given that on 25 June 2018 Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. This Order, which comes into force on 2 July is being introduced for traffic control and safety measures to facilitate filming in the highway which is promoted by Wolf Studios Wales, Unit 1,Trident Industrial Park, Glass Avenue, Wales CF24 5EN.The order will be in force for road closures as follows:
New College Lane from the Bridge of Sighs to New College from 8am 2 July to midnight 4 July; Queens Lane from New College to the disabled parking bays opposite St Edmund Hall from 8am 2 July to midnight 4 July;
Merton Street from Oriel Square (rising Bollard) to No.22 Merton Street from 8am to midnight on 4 July. Other roads will have filming activities but not involving road closures.
The alternative routes for the closures will be signed locally.There will be controlled access for pedestrians/ cyclists and exemptions for emergency services. The consent ofthe SecretaryofState forTransport will be sought to hold the event. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Order are available for public inspection at County Hall, New Road, Oxford OX1 1ND from 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.The documents include copies of this notice, the proposed order, map showing the affected road and a Statement of Reasons for the proposed Order.
