NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND
STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT
MODIFICATION ORDER 2018
On 20th April 2018, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order, made on 12th February 2018, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting 65m of Gosford and Water Eaton Br 5 that runs south-eastwards from OS Grid Ref SP 50851322 along the woodland track to the south-west of the River Cherwell to SP 5089 1317 and then south-westwards to SP 5085 1313 to a line running southwards from SP 5085 1322 for 93m along an accommodation track to SP 5085 1313 where it re-joins the existing bridleway as shown on the Order map and also by diverting 115m of the bridleway that runs south-south-westwards from SP 5081 1305 to SP 5077 1298 and then east-north-eastwards to SP 5081 1299 to a new line running southwards from SP 5081 1305 along an accommodation track to SP 5081 1299 where it re-joins the existing bridleway as shown on the Order map.

The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 10th May 2018 make an application to the High Court.
