Highways Act 1980, Section 119 Notice of Confirmation of a Public Path Diversion Order
South Oxfordshire District Council (footpath at great western park, didcot - claimed routes o & p) public path diversion order 2017
On 21 September 2017, South Oxfordshire District Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order, as confirmed, is to divert the public footpath with a width of 1.8 metres commencing at Grid Reference 5124 9092 (Point E on the Plan) and running in a generally easterly direction for a distance of approximately 76 metres to Grid Reference 5131 9091 (Point F on the Plan) then running in a generally southerly direction for a distance of approximately 116 metres to Grid Reference 5129 9080 (Point G on the Plan) onto a line 2 metres wide commencing at Grid Reference 5124 9092 (Point E on the Plan) and running in a generally easterly direction for a distance of approximately 60 metres to Grid Reference 5130 9092 (Point D on the Plan) then running in a generally southerly direction for a distance of approximately 119 metres to Grid Reference 5129 9080 (Point G on the Plan) as shown on the Order Map and to divert the public footpath with a width of 1.8 metres commencing at Grid Reference 5126 9058 (Point A on the Plan) and running in a generally south south-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 17 metres to Grid Reference 5125 9056 (Point B on the Plan) onto a line 2 metres wide commencing at Grid Reference 5126 9058 (Point A on the Plan) and running in a generally west south westerly direction for a distance of approximately 5 metres to Grid Reference 5125 9058 (Point C on the Plan).
A copy of the Order and the Order map may be seen free of charge at South Oxfordshire District Council, 135 Eastern Avenue, Milton Park, Milton, OX14 4SB from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Copies of the Order and map may be bought there at the price of £10. The Order comes into force upon certification by Oxfordshire County Council, but if any person aggrieved by the Order wishes to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been properly complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks of the date of this notice, make an application to the High Court.
