NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER

The Oxfordshire County Council Weston-on-the-Green Footpath No. 22 (part) Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2017
On 19th May 2017, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order; made on 15th February 2017, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting 35m of Weston-on-the-Green Fp 22 that runs from North Lane, Weston-on-the-Green at OS Grid Reference SP 5313 1896, north-westwards directly through the curtilage of the property Stoneyfields to its north-western corner at SP 5310 1898 to a line running for 30m from a point 17m further west-south-westwards along North Lane at SP 5311 1895 and which runs north-north-westwards to the same point at the north-western corner of Stoneyfields at SP 5310 1898 where it re-joins the existing footpath as shown on the Order map.

The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity; or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground thatanyrequirementofeitherActor ofany regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 7th September 2017 make an application to the High Court.
