NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above amendment order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.The order will introduce a new charge providing combined parking and bus travel (from both Park & Ride sites) and in addition make changes to the title of the original order and the description of the Water Eaton Park and Ride facility to recognise the new Oxford Parkway Rail Station which has a separate car park and area of responsibility.
A combined ticket costing £6.80 will be available allowing parking for up to 11 hours and bus travel for a maximum of 2 Adults and 3 Children to and from Oxford City Centre (according to the ticketing terms and conditions of the Oxford Bus Company). Other parking charges are unchanged by this Order. The current Order will be renamed as The Oxfordshire County Council (Park and Ride Parking Places ? Thornhill, and Oxford Parkway (Also known as Water Eaton) Order 2012. The name and description of Parking Places for Water Eaton shall be amended to identify the separate responsibilities of the rail franchisee and the County Council, only the latter being the subject of the order; a plan will be attached to the Order to illustrate this. For clarification, enforcement responsibilities remain with the County Council for the Park and Ride areas, and by separate contractors for the rail franchisee covering the rail station car park area. The County Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice.They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.
