ENVIRONMENT AGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT OF INTENTION NOT TO PREPARE AN ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT (Regulation 5 of the Environmental Impact Assessment (Land Drainage Improvement Works) Regulations 1999 as amended by SI 2005/1399 and SI 2006/618 Eynsham Fish Pass
The Environment Agency gives notice that it proposes to carry out improvement works to the flood defences on Eynsham side weir between Eynsham Lock and Swinford Toll Bridge (NGR: SP 44409 08730). The proposed improvement works will involve adding an 11 metre fish pass to the side weir, immediately upstream of Eynsham weir. The Environment Agency considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant
negative effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them. Further information, including plans and an environmental risk assessment, can be obtained by contacting the Environment Agency representative below. Any person wishing to make representations in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed improvement works should do so, in writing, to the address specified below, within 28 days of the date of publication of this notice.
