THE OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (BICESTER) (TRAFFIC REGULATION) (AMENDMENT NO. 16*) ORDER 20**
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The proposal will further amend The Oxfordshire County Council (Bicester) (Traffic Regulation) Order 1992, and repeats and in part replaces a proposal consulted on during September and October 2016.The effect of the order is as follows: 1). to introduce new and/or extend existing Prohibition of Waiting at Any Time (DoubleYellow Lines - DYLs) in these roads:
Buckingham Road - covering the junctions with Brashfield Road and Churchill Road;
Brashfield Road - north side from Buckingham Road westwards for 40 metres and south side from Buckingham Road westwards for 100 metres; Shakespeare Drive - from Howes Lane to beyond Browning Drive and into the junctions with Browning Drive and Dryden Avenue; also covering the junctions with Blenheim Drive, Burns Crescent, Tay Gardens and Brook Road, and covering the junction of Brook Road and Swift Close;
Dryden Avenue - covering the junctions with Derwent Road and Trent Crescent; Blake Road - between Banbury Road and Brashfield Road on the south side and at the junction with Woodfield Road; and on the north side covering the junctions with Taylor Close and Brashfield Road;
Mallards Way - from Wren Way along both sides of the shrub islands as far as No. 76; Kings Avenue - covering the junctions with Evenlode Close, Cherwell Close, Fox Lane, & Finchley Lane;
Fox Lane - east side from Kings Avenue northwards for 63 metres; Finchley Lane - west side from Kings Avenue southwards for 55 metres; Rowan Road - from Banbury Road westwards for 165 metres covering the bends and junctions with Almond Road and Hamilton Close;
Granville Way - the full length of road, with the exception of proposed car and van only parking spaces specified in 6) below;
Bernwood Road - covering its junctions with Campbell Close and Chichester Close, and extending on the northeast side south-eastwards to opposite No. 11; Bardwell Terrace - *2 short extension opposite junction with Bernwood Road (west);
Woodfield Road - extending from Buckingham Road westwards in front of Nos. 1 to 7 and around the grass island. (It is proposed to relocate the Disabled Parking Bay to outside No. 10);
Withington Road - northwest side towards Maple Road, and opposite Bernwood
Hunt Close - the entire road;
Bucknell Road - west side extending from Crockwell Close north-westwards to opposite No. 14 Bucknell Road;and a short section outside Nos. 6 & 8 Bucknell Road (except for *l below). 2). To introduce No Waiting 8am - 6pm Monday to Saturday only as follows: Withington Road - north side outside Nos. 5 to 19;and south side outside Nos. 14 & 16 and outside No. 61;
*2 Bardwell Terrace - short reduction opposite junction with Bernwood Road (west);
Sheep Street - outside Nos. 88 to 90 (in place of existing DYLs). 3). Tointroduce No Waiting 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday as follows:
*l Bucknell Road - east side from outside No. 4 to junction with Stoneburge Crescent.
Mallard Way - south side between London Road and Wren Way (replacing the existing length of No Waiting 8am-6pm Monday - Saturday); 4). To introduce NoWaiting 11-12 noon Monday to Friday only as follows:
Brashfield Road - north side from a point 40 metres west of Buckingham Road westwards for 60 metres
Bernwood Road - (west section) east side from Withington Road northwards for 7l metres; and (east section) west side from Withington Road to No.22; Kings Avenue - south side between the junctions of Finchley Lane and Bourne Close, and Bourne Close and Colne Close, and westwards from Colne Close for 20 metres.
5). To introduce NoWaiting 12 - 1pm Monday to Friday only as follows:
Bernwood Road - (west section) west side northwards from Bardwell Terrace to Nos. l - 2; and from No. l3 northwards towards Campbell Close; Bernwood Road - (east section) east side outside No. 7l; and outside Nos. 47 to 53; and also outside Nos. 2l to 33;
Kings Avenue - north side between the junctions of Fox Lane and Cherwell Close, and Cherwell Close and Evenlode Close,and west ofthe junction ofEvenlode Close for 20 metres.
6). To introduce parking places for *3permitted vehicles (cars and light vans) only 24 hours all days as follows:
GranvilleWay- north side - at two locations, comprising sections of 55 metres and 60 metres respectively; and on the south side, one length of 43 metres. (*3permitted vehicles means ? a vehicle not exceeding 2.25 tonnes, 2 metres high, 5 metres long, and 2 metres wide).
Documents giving detailed particulars of the proposed order are available for public inspection at County Hall, New Road, Oxford OXl IND from 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, and at Bicester Library, Franklins House,Wesley Lane OX26 6JU from 9.30am to 7pm Monday,Wednesday &Thursday, 9.30am - 5pmTuesday & Friday, 9am - 4.30pm Saturday.
Objections to the proposal, specifying the grounds on which they are made, and any other representations, should be sent in writing to the Director for Environment and Economy (ref.ADK/DT.l2.6.l29) at the address given below no later than l4 April 20l7. The County Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice.They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.
