Notice of confirmation of an Order Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map
and Statement Modification Order
Highways Act 1980, Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981
The Oxfordshire County Council, Little Tew Footpath No. 7 (Part), Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2021

On 25 March 2022, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting:-

Little Tew FP No. 7 running from OS Grid Ref SP 3697 2865 south-westwards through OS Grid Reference SP 3695 2862 past Magpie Farm for 252m to BR 5 at OS Grid Reference SP 3686 2843 and the entire width of Little Tew FP 7 running from OS Grid Reference SP 3695 2862 south-eastwards for 92m to OS Grid Reference SP 3703 2857 to new lines running from OS Grid Reference SP 3700 2862 south-westwards for 236m through OS Grid Ref SP 3691

2847 to BR 5 at OS Grid Reference SP 3686 2843 and
running from OS Grid Ref SP 3697 2865 south-eastwards for 133m through OS Grid Reference SP 3700 2862 to OS Grid Reference SP 3703 2857 as shown on the Order map. A copy of the Order and the Order map may be: -

The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 31 March 2022 make an application to the High Court.
