ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS
BRITON CRESCENT. SOUTH CROYDON
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate new gas connection works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements and parking in Briton Crescent, South Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-

a) Briton Crescent will be closed to vehicular traffic between the common boundary of Nos. 22 and 24 Briton Crescent and the junction with Briton Close;

b) Parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time on both sides of Briton Crescent, between the junction with Briton Close and the common boundary of Nos. 22 and 24 Briton Crescent.

3. Whilst the closure is in force the alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Purley Downs Road and Downsway and vice versa.

4. The Order will come into operation on 28 March 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within five days. However the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CENTRAL PARADE. NEW ADDINGTON
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate telecoms works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Central Parade, New Addington.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place,

a) Central Parade will be closed to vehicular traffic between Nos. 28 and 34 Central Parade;

b) The footway between Nos. 28 to 34 Central Parade will be closed to pedestrians.

3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for diverted vehicular traffic will be via Central Parade and Salcot Crescent, as appropriately signed. Pedestrians will be diverted to the opposite footway.

4. The Order will come into operation on 28 March 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in three days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any person or vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

BROUGHTON ROAD. THORNTON HEATH
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate cable installation works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict parking in Broughton Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, rolling parking suspensions and temporary waiting and loading restrictions operating 'at any time' will be introduced in Broughton Road.

3. The Order will come into operation on 11 April 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 25 April 2022. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum duration of 18 months to be reintroduced if further works are required.

4. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) a vehicle being used to carry out the said works;

(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

HALING DOWN PASSAGE. PURLEY
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate Thames Water service pipe works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic movements in Haling Down Passage, Purley.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Haling Down Passage will be closed at the rear of No.94 Montpelier Road.

3. The Order will come into operation on 13 April 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within 3 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

4. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CROYDON COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14, AS AMENDED
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR OR PEDESTRIAN ACCESS AND TEMPORARY PARKING RESTRICTIONS

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate essential highway maintenance works that may take place within the London Borough of Croydon, they intend to amend The Croydon (Highways Maintenance Works) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular and Pedestrian Traffic and Parking Order) 2021, the effect of which would be to allow the following measures to be introduced, providing that the relevant permissions have been granted by the Council, in relation to any street listed in the Schedule to this Notice for which Croydon Council are the highway authority:

(a) temporarily introduce one-way traffic for the duration of the works in those streets or lengths of streets;

(b) temporarily close to vehicular traffic those streets or lengths of streets;

(c) temporarily close any adjoining streets to vehicular traffic where this is considered necessary to facilitate the work in progress;

(d) temporarily introduce banned turns, footway closures or waiting and loading restrictions at any time should this be required; and

(e) temporarily suspend bus lanes/stops, cycle lanes, parking bays or any other traffic restriction as required where this is considered necessary to facilitate the work in progress.

2. Wherever the work happens to be in progress, no person may cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) proceed in a direction other than that indicated by a traffic sign, or

(b) proceed in any street or length of street which may at the time be subject to a road closure until the completion of the work allows.

3. Whilst the provisions of the amended Order remain in force, waiting or loading by vehicles would be prohibited at any time in those streets or lengths of streets specified where work is in progress. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction on waiting imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

4. All works requiring a road closure will be advertised complete with any diversion route on our website at the address below,

5. Frontages affected by the above restrictions will receive notification letters approximately two weeks before any works commence.

6. The amended Order will come into operation on the 08 April 2022 and will remain in force until 30 October 2022,18 months from the operational date of the original Order.

(Note: The provisions of the Order will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. (Access for frontagers would be maintained whilst the work proceeds).

KING HENRY'S DRIVE. NEW ADDINGTON
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate bridge maintenance works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in King Henry's Drive.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place King Henry's Drive will be closed between Goldcrest Way and Kestrel Way.

3. Whilst the closure is in operation the alternative route for traffic will be via King Henry's Drive, Parkway, Central Parade, Arnhem Drive and reversed, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 09 April 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 23 April 2022. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC MANOR WAY. SOUTH CROYDON

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate water service pipe works on behalf of Thames Water they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Manor Way.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Manor Way will be closed outside No. 11 Manor Way.

3. During the works the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via Croham Manor Road, Bankside, Winchelsey Rise, Manor Way and reversed, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on the 11 April 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within approximately nine days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) A vehicle being used to carry out the works;

(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CROYDON COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTIONS 14 AND 15 AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS
EXTENSIONS OF EXISTING TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING - DERBY ROAD, HANDCROFT ROAD, PARSONS MEAD & MEAD PLACE, CROYDON

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that the Secretary of State has issued a direction under Section 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to extend the temporary prohibitions specified in the Schedule to this Notice for six months to allow for the introduction of experimental traffic schemes.

2. Whilst the said Order continues in force the alternative route for traffic will be via Parsons Mead and/or Derby Road, Mitcham Road and Sumner Road.

3. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer;

(c) a vehicle being used for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

4. The duration of the Order, which originally came into operation on 02 October 2020 and was due to expire on 02 April 2022, will be extended for six months to expire on 02 October 2022.

SCHEDULE
A) Derby Road will be closed to vehicular traffic (except pedal cycles) at its junction with Clarendon Road/Parsons Mead;

B) Handcraft Road will be made one-way northbound between its junctions with Dennett Road and Sumner Road with an exemption for pedal cycles using the contra-flow cycle lane which will be introduced between those junctions on the east side;

C) Loading restrictions operating "at any time' will be introduced on the east side of Handcroft Road for the length of the above cycle lane to complement the existing double yellow lines and prevent parking in the cycle lane;

D) The existing one-way working in Mead Place will be reversed so that vehicles travel south-westbound (i.e. from London Road towards Parsons Mead, with no entry to Mead Place from Parsons Mead);

E) Parsons Mead will be closed to motor vehicles at the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 3 Parsons Mead except for holders of a valid exemption permit.
