NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT

MODIFICATION ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 The Oxfordshire County Council, Cropredy Footpath Nos. 1 and 7 (parts) Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2021. On 28th February 2022, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting:-

Cropredy FP 1 running from OS Grid Ref SP 4435 4611 north-westwards for 30m to OS Grid Ref SP 4433 4613,

then south-westwards for 563m to OS Grid Ref SP 4384 4585 and continuing south-eastwards for 100m to OS Grid Ref SP 4390 4576 and then south-westwards for 16m to its junction with Bourton FP 3 at OS Grid Ref SP 4388 4576 to a new line running from OS Grid Ref SP 4435 4611, continuing south-westwards within Bourton Parish for approximately 96m to the Cropredy Parish boundary at OS Grid Ref SP 4425 4607, continuing south-westwards within Cropredy Parish for approximately 515m through OS Grid Ref SP 4393 4590 to Cropredy FP 7 at OS Grid Ref SP 4380 4582 where it re-joins the unaffected length of Cropredy FP 1 as shown on the Order map. Cropredy FP 7 running from the M40 footbridge at OS Grid Reference SP 4383 4577 north-westwards for approximately 28m to OS Grid Ref SP 4382 4580 to a new

line running from OS Grid Ref SP 4388 4576 north-westwards and then north-north-westwards for 75m to OS Grid Ref SP 4382 4580 where it re-joins the unaffected length of Cropredy FP 7 as shown on the Order map.

The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 10th March 2022 make an application to the High Court.
